International Study on PRACTICE

What do you think about practising?

Through this international study, we want to find out what experiences people have with practice, how they feel about it to recognize and understand future prospects..

Your experience matters – whether you practise regularly, perform professionally, or have not played your instrument for a long time. You can take part if you are:

  • a pupil (still in school) learning an instrument
  • an amateur musician who plays an instrument
  • a student currently studying music
  • an instrumentalist who performs professionally and/or teaches their instrument
  • a parent or grandparent of a child or grandchild who is learning an instrument
  • adult who ist learning an instrument
  • someone who used to play an instrument but no longer does

The survey takes approximately 5–15 minutes to complete.

All responses will be analysed anonymously, and no personal data will be collected.

Your participation matters: the future of classical music also depends on how we think about learning, practising and making music.

By taking part, you will help us gain a better understanding of what matters to people today and what they would like to see for the future.
