Organisational matters
The chamber music courses focus on making music in chamber music ensembles. Both existing ensembles and individual players can enrol. Another focus is playing in a chamber orchestra without a conductor. The ensembles are put together in advance.
Everyone is sent the sheet music a few weeks in advance for individual preparation. The aim is for all participants to be able to play their parts beforehand.
During the courses, participants have several hours of chamber music lessons and orchestra rehearsals throughout the day. In the free hours, there is a wide range of activities with games, fun and sport.
If a chamber music course with overnight accommodation is advertised, the rehearsals will also take place there. If it is a course without overnight accommodation, rehearsals will take place in a location that is as central as possible. Details of this can be found in the relevant announcement. Basic information can also be found in the course conditions.
Musical direction: Erdmute Maria Hohage
Project management: Angelika S. Schepke
There are also supervisors and assistants who support the rehearsals and are responsible for the outdoor activities.
